The Ambassador Four poster is a quality solid pine bedstead from Revival Beds Company. This is a traditional solid wooden bed built by hand using time-honoured techniques and materials, but unlike typical antique beds which tend to be double wooden beds it's normally sold as a super king size bed.

In this bed each panel in the triple panelled head and footboard of this quality 4 poster has been individually set into place. The slats on the wooden base have been carefully measured to take modern pocket sprung or memory foam mattresses with ease. And the magnificent 6"? diameter bobbin twist columns are sufficiently sturdy to support a heavy closed (built-in "roof") canopy.

Natural wax polish: Hundreds of years of daily use give antique furniture a patina or natural finish. A good patina gives old furniture its warmth not to mention its value. Hand waxing as opposed to lacquering gives a far more authentic and rich finish especially after two or three coats.
Painted: Each piece of furniture is individually hand painted before the ageing process begins. Once the paint is completely cured the knots are exposed and corners are worn off. But it's the woodworm effect that gives the furniture unique, two hundred-year old charm.
